Soapland or Nuru is an ancient art of relaxation derived from Japanese culture. Nuru gel is made from seaweed and is transparent, tasteless, odorless, extremely slippery, and smooth. It also contains vitamin E, which is absorbed into the skin to moisturize and make your skin super soft. The Nuru gel is very cool and comfortable when applied to the skin. During the winter months, I adjust the room temperature and warm the gel; it is all about being relaxed and comfortable.
Experience and learn the art of Nuru! When you arrive, the room is comfortable, the lighting is just right, candles are used for the ambiance, and spa music is playing. I enjoy meeting and getting to know my clients; it makes for a better experience. Your skin must be wet for the Nuru gel to work. We start the session by taking a warm shower to start the relaxation process.
*I have issues managing stress, anxiety, sleep and deal with situational depression. Depression is real, and we need not be afraid or ashamed. COVID has not helped. I utilize multiple modalities DAILY to help with these issues. I do not use drugs or alcohol. I used to use CBD for sleep and no longer need it!! It took several years to find what works for me. I utilize daily and manage these issues much better. I am calm during stressful situations, which has lessened the anxiety considerably. I no longer wake up every two to three hours through the night. It is a process and takes consistency and patience; it is not an overnight transformation. With that said, everybody is different, and what works for me may not work for you. I can customize your session for these issues. I exercise, eat healthy nutritious foods and utilize a special blend of organic, vegan, non-toxic essential oils and breathwork. If you deal with these issues and are open to trying the essential oils and breathwork during your session, please contact me.

In Japan, it is often difficult for an American to enter a Soapland/Nuru spa. I have had several fortunate clients who enjoyed a true Japanese Nuru. When returning to the US, seeking the same experience but were unable to find a Japanese Nuru experience until they came to me, these clients gave me the highest compliments. My Nuru is the closest to the Nuru they experienced in Japan.
I have many repeat clients who have been coming to me for several years. I offer massages for couples, and I must say, an enjoyable experience for me to watch loving couples interact while I provide the massage. I have clients who travel internationally and will make a point to schedule appointment(s) with me during their travels.
What to expect and what I offer
Preparing for your therapeutic touch Nuru: Hygiene is important because of the bodywork I teach and practice. Although we shower together, it is only to relax. Please be clean and fresh when you arrive. I appreciate it, and thank you in advance. If you cannot shower before your appointment, let me know when you arrive so you can shower. Your time and my time are important, and if you arrive late, your appointment will end as scheduled.
This is a learning experience for both sexes, and I provide sessions for couples and females. Please inquire.

Nuru - 80-minutes special session to include breathwork for depression and anxiety - $450.

About me, I eat well and exercise regularly. Remaining healthy is very important to me. Exercise combined with healthy eating habits and self-care has been key to my well being as I have not been sick in decades. I am not a germaphobe, but I am very clean and have excellent hygiene habits. My clients respect me and will cancel if not feeling well. I expect the same from new clients. If you have any symptoms, covid, or otherwise, please contact me immediately to reschedule. If I am not well, I will reschedule your appointment.
